Dear hubby is away for a short trip. He is only gone for basically 2 days, but a 2 day trip can be just as bad as a 40 day trip. You have to get used to doing everything by yourself, get into a new sort of routine, then readjust when he returns. Amber, of course, is only concerned with if Daddy will bring her home a present!
I ordered my new stroller yesterday. I actually bought a new one about 6 months ago but got myself so worked up and confused with my options, scared to spend too much money- though I had the green light to do so- that I balked and ended up buying something pretty cheap that both of us just don't like. After yet another stroller discussion, and a bit of bribery if I'm being honest, I was off on another stroller quest! I had it narrowed down to 3 different strollers; Baby Jogger City Mini, Inglesina Zippy, and the new Peg Perego Si. I showed hubby all 3 and we both liked the new PPSi the best. So, it is on it's way! It's so hard to pick out a stroller sight unseen. Here's hoping it fits the bill because I know there's NO WAY he will let me replace this one.

I adore my girls. Plain and simple. They are my daily inspiration, even when they drive me up the wall and I want to run away screaming. I never imagined being a Mommy would bring so much joy to my life. Of course, having 2 such amazing girls does help things a bit. Here's a little about my 'Little Ladybugs':
Amber is 4 years old and quite the precocious little one! She thinks she runs the house (which, I admit, she does most days- but we're working on that) and loves to tell her sister what to do. She is very smart, clever, silly, girly, opinionated and beautiful. She loves Princesses, kitties, dinosaurs, treats and earing dresses. She enjoys dancing, sports, playing dress-up, practicing reading, running and telling us what to do. :-)
Cora is just under 16 months old and is such a joyful toddler! She is a very silly little girl and has the most pleasant disposition- except when she doesn't get her way and then LOOK OUT!! She loves all things that belong to Amber, kitties, Yo Gabba Gabba, Wow Wow Wubzie (because Amber has watched them so often), her 'Sleepy Stars', books, dancing, climbing on the couch, and walking in circles!
One thing that will always make our girls a little unique is that their birthdays are one day apart. Yes, one day apart. We've only had one birthday to celebrate so far and the joint party was a bit success. Let's see how long we can get away with that one. I'm sure planning 2 parties will hit us all too soon, but for now we will enjoy the fun of one BIG party.

Inaugural Blog
Something I never thought I'd see myself doing.... blogging. Actually, I'm really not 'watching' myself right now so I suppose it's ok.
Right now, the girls are in bed, hopefully sleeping as well, and hubby is downstairs playing his xBox 360/watching the NBA Playoffs. Today was a good day. The girls got along well, Amber even did a wonderful job of sharing with Cora. There was a minimum of yelling from the girls, we got to go to the park to feed the ducks, and there was chocolate cake waiting for us when we got home. Life is good.
